Each set comes in three: cool, neutral, and warm.after that i make sure my gif isn’t over the 3mb size limit and i check which time delay looks best. then i usually end up smart sharpening my gif just a teeny tiny bit (like amount 20% and radius 3px), this is entirely my own preference and i know other ppl would say it makes gifs over-sharpened but i quite like that it makes some of the details like the eyes a bit clearer. psd’s you can download here on tumblr if you are still new to giffing which you can find by looking through the tags or on photoshop resource blogs. i usually always end up using channel mixer, gradient map, selective color, exposure, colour balance and hue/saturation. i would recommend playing around with the settings to see what you prefer! after denoise i color my gifs, i personally use a different coloring for every gif. definitely follow these dimensions otherwise your gifs will look blurry!after avisynth i use topaz denoise, for which i don’t really have a tutorial to link but it isn’t that difficult to use. it also allows you to make gifs with 60fps instead of 30fps. the sizes for gifs are 540px for single gifs, 268px for double and 177px-178px-177px for three gifs next to eachother. tp/.ts video files which you otherwise wouldn’t be able to upload in photoshop. if you have any specific questions regarding avisynth you can always ask them and i’ll try to help out! the thing about avisynth is that it allows you to fully use the quality of. do not interprete - up to now.Īnd all this after I have been using purely Nikon software since I started shooting RAW.Once i have my video i use avisynth, to learn how to use that program i used this tutorial, but i wouldn’t recommend using avisynth if you are still new to giffing as it’s a bit complicated. Since I have it I use the Nikon software only for some tests and occasionally for focus point activation diagostics (Which AF point(s) being used for a particular image is one of the information that 3rd party programs like DxO PL4, Capture One etc. If you work with the plug-ins you most likely need to change format from NEF to TIFF or DNG, becasue Topaz doens't work with NEF format (at least it didn't when I was testing it some months ago). The other important thing is that the entire workflow in DxO can be handled based on NEF - including denoising and keeping the processing step sequence completely flexible. The other part is the complete range of selective processing functions for sections within an image that is known from Capture NX2 - and has died with it - plus some additional ones. Why ?Īpart from some technical information that is lost when NEF files are interpreted by DxO PL4 (but that is the case with almost all Non-Nikon software packages including the Adobe products) the program provides the complete range of functionality that is provided by the Nikon software plus a couple of powerful additional functions, one of which is DeepPrime denoising. I tried both and did two steps: Using DxO as primary processing software and denoizing tool.
